ME.TE.ORA

ME.TE.ORA is the day centre for teenagers run by the ASST della Vallecamonica health authority at Esine hospital, offering therapeutic paths for young people going through a hard time. The mark was selected from the proposals submitted and adopted by the centre.

The subject called for a difficult balance: to speak about care without a clinical tone, and to address teenagers without sliding into the childish. The mark is two figures holding each other, at different sizes — the difference tells a relationship of support; the circles around them are the community that revolves around the centre.

I developed two configurations. In the second the mark sits inside a brush-drawn circle, deliberately left open: the centre takes you in, but doesn't hold you there. A four-colour palette and the DINosaur typeface, chosen for its roundness without being childish.
